The board members have all made 7-figure investments in fruitful missional apostolates and are committed to seed funding for The Apostles Fund™. They possess business acumen with extensive experience and expertise in fundraising, finance, and entrepreneurship.

Michael Gentile

Founding Board Member

Michael Gentile has over 20 years of experience in investment management and fundraising. He is a co-Founder of and Senior Portfolio Manager at Bastion Asset Management, a rapidly growing money management firm in Montreal. In his role as major shareholder, strategic advisor and board member, Michael has also been instrumental in helping raise over $200MM dollars for companies in the resource and mining sector over the last 6 years.

Dwayne Miller

Founding Board Member

Dwayne Miller is an entrepreneur and professional engineer with 35 years of experience. He was Founder and CEO of a cloud-based software company that was acquired by Autodesk Inc in 2023. Prior to the software company, he was CEO of a global engineering company that was acquired in 2016. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and began his career in the United States Air Force.

Justin Schneir

Founding Board Member

Justin Schneir is an entrepreneur and founder of Tractor Beverage Co. He sold his first company when he was 37 and has continued in his passion of developing and growing companies.

He has consulted with hundreds of executives nationwide and speaks of the need to make meaningful change. He has a MA in counseling, 20 years of high-profile business experience, and a passion for holistic health, sustainability and evangelization.

Ellie Cau

Founding Board Member

Ellie Cau experienced a conversion to Christianity and entered the Catholic Church in her mid 20s and since then, has devoted her free time to volunteering extensively in evangelization work at her local parish. She is currently busy raising five children after spending some time working in the health sector.

In 2014, she co-founded the Lux in Tenebris Foundation with her husband and fellow Apostles Fund™ founder, Michael Gentile, to support evangelization, Catholic education and pro-life ministries in Canada.

Kevin Bailey

Founding Board Member

Kevin Bailey has 30 years of experience in the financial services sector and has spoken worldwide about leadership and business success. He began his career in the Australian Military, serving with the Australian Special Forces in the SAS Regiment. He has spent the last ten years of his life working pro bono on various Evangelisation Ministries and focusing on the renewal and revitalisation of the mission of the Catholic Church to bring souls to Christ. He is determined to leave a legacy for his children and grandchildren of a vibrant and apostolic church on fire for the Gospel.

Andy Szocs

Board Member

Andy is the retired founder and president of Norpac Controls Ltd., which he built from its founding in 1972 into the largest distributor of process control equipment in British Columbia. An engineering graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, his leadership was recognized six times by Canada’s 50 Best Managed Private Companies program. Since retiring in 2000, Andy has dedicated his philanthropy to advancing mental health initiatives and Catholic evangelization, and currently serves on the boards of the Augustine Institute and the Busch School of Business at The Catholic University of America, and is a member of the Papal Foundation.

As the Executive Director of The Apostles Fund™, David is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to uncover and harness their God-given talents, fostering strategic alliances that amplify mission impact. With a proven track record of coaching dozens of apostolates, he is passionate about collaborating with purpose-driven leaders to expand outreach and inspire transformative change, all for the greater glory of God.

Ryan Petrillo

Vice President of Development

Ryan brings innovative fundraising to empower faith-driven leaders and organizations. With a love for innovation that sparks transformative ideas, he excels at forging donor connections that sustain mission growth and amplify evangelistic impact. As Vice President of Development at The Apostles Fund™, Ryan is passionately committed to the Great Commission, inspiring generous families to partner in raising up the next generation of disciples. He has spearheaded major gift campaigns that have raised millions for evangelization efforts worldwide and coached hundreds of missionary teams in building sustainable support strategies. Through clear communication and bold visioning, Ryan invites others to join this apostolic work, fostering sacrificial giving that advances God’s kingdom for Christ’s greater glory.
